NON-INVASIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT FOR YOUR PET

PAIN MANAGEMENT

Our veterinary healthcare team cares about reducing pain and offering a speedy recovery for many conditions your furry family member may encounter. Laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment that can reduce pain, reduce swelling, stimulate healing and help re-energize your pet.

      LASER THERAPY

All healing begins at a cellular level.  Laser therapy uses near infrared light to provide increased blood flow and increased oxygen to cells, which results in cellular bio-stimulation.  Laser therapy treatments have been shown to increase activity and improve mobility.  Laser therapy is non-invasive, soothing to the patient, and can provide solutions for:

  • CHRONIC & ACUTE PAIN MANAGEMENT
  • WOULND HEALING
  • POST SURGICAL HEALING
  • ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY RECOVERY
  • SOME CHRONIC INFECTIONS
  • REDUCTION IN SWELLING
  • RELIEF & RECOVER FOR SPRAINS & STRAINS

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

Diagnosis and condition determine the number of treatments needed to see, and maintain, positive results.  Some acute conditions need 1 to 3 treatments.  For chronic pain conditions (arthritis, hip dysplasia, etc.) we recommend 6 treatments over a 3-week period.

HOW LONG ARE THE TREATMENTS?

pupMost laser therapy treatments are approx. 5-15 minutes per treatment site (per side) --- variable based on the pets size.

DOES IT HURT?

Patient enjoy the soothing feeling laser therapy provides during treatments.  They often relax and fall asleep.

ARE THERE SIDE EFFECTS?

Typically no.  Sometimes when older animals have multiple sites (hips, back, elbows) treated they may return home and want to sleep
